In three weeks time, I will be temporarily stopping my PS3 adventures altogether. That includes ‘BATTLEFIELD 3′. It was fun while it lasted. I have never spent up to 418 hours on any game before. Why? Because of these people who deserve special mention:

Farewell video for the ones whom I have always fought side by side with…
We all have been gaming online. From PC to console, internet connects us all from every part of the world.
My first taste online was on PC when I first played ‘FIFA 99′. Challenging my best friend, Jeremy Dee, back then on 56Kbps dial-up. I even challenged Dzul Hairie in ‘COMMAND & CONQUER: RED ALERT’! We know when somebody called whenever we experienced lag. Those were the days! I was a big fan of NovaLogic; playing their ‘DELTA FORCE’ series and ‘MiG-29 FULCRUM’. Online gaming was superb back then. We have mutual respect for each other and we shared our tactics without the need to troll. I moved on to RPG with ‘MU ONLINE’ when I was first introduced by my polytechnic classmate, Chi Leong, in early 2003.
Late 2004, my younger brother and sister together with me bought ourselves PlayStation 2. I played ‘KILLZONE 2′ and ‘RESIDENT EVIL 4′. ‘BLACK’ got me hooked during my time serving National Service. I was still playing ‘FIFA 2005′ on PC.

Once I got myself PlayStation 3 on 2008 Christmas Eve, I was very sure I am a console gamer convert. ‘WINNING ELEVEN 2009′, ‘BATTLEFIELD: BAD COMPANY’, ‘BATTLEFIELD: BAD COMPANY 2′, ‘ARMY OF TWO’, ‘ARMY OF TWO: 40th DAY’, ‘CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE 2′ and many more. Of course, you see a lot of my ‘BATTLEFIELD 3′ recordings recently. Almost all of these were bought from QISAHN. You can click on the link on the right.
I have handed over to my brother the console and HAUPPAUGE! HD PVR Gaming Edition device. It is up to him to build a suitable machine for recording.
Once I move out, besides a gaming television and good headset, I will most probably continue recording with the new HAUPPAUGE! HD PVR 2 Gaming Edition. God willing. Yes, the newer PS3.
I am still thinking if I should come back to PC gaming. The introduction of Steam is changing my path yet again…
I am not saying for us to go all out hunting Colonel 100s. What I do mean is for us not to be afraid when you see a Colonel 100 player on the other team (especially an Asian).
Why? I have been killed by many and I can see that their playing style has stooped to camping. Camp on a spot and take down enemies running around. It is nonetheless a tactic but not PTFO. Take a look at this guy… Tell me what do you see. It is of no surprise, right? I do respect his achievement for being a Colonel 100 but his weapons of choice frustrate many. To me, he deserves no respect at all.

On a personal achievement, she has done herself proud. For me, as a Singaporean, to feel for her Bronze finish, I cannot do so. Why? Like this article pointed out, personally, I do not thing she will be staying for long here. Take a look at these names, shall we? Footballer Egmar Goncalves, table-tennis’ Zhang Xueling, shot putter Dong Enxin and badminton’s Xiao Luxi.
Singapore government wants everything to be express. By “express”, I mean winning medals (such as Olympics) with very little money invested. Sports in many ways not cheap.We have to invest time and money to groom our young and Singapore is definitely not the place to get such support to set your standards. Many of our own have to give up what they like in order to pursue careers to survive. You might want to ask many former Singaporean sportsmen who trained very hard for the country only to receive little support from the Sports Association.
I got Close Quarters separately and I decided to play with my Armored Brigade buddies. Turned out that I like to play in such maps even when it is typical COD feeling. When I first joined, I thought I would need a fast firing weapon. So, I decided to dust off my M249 (KOBRA + fore grip + flash suppressor) and head off into ‘Operation 925′. I had so much fun!

“Why?”, you ask. Throughout my eight months of BF3 gaming, I have always been playing as Engineer or Support to help repair vehicles and resupply team-mates respectively. Recently, I decided to break away from the norm that I have always been doing and decided to go full fledge Assault (I can never master Recon).
While playing, I will pretty much revive and heal people after dropping one or two enemies. Then, the real challenge begin. An M1 Abrams came rolling in and took out most probably two to three unlucky team-mates who did not have time to react. I retreated and decided to go for an objective which has already been captured. My other mates who were at the top of the scoreboards were practically helpless against this mammoth tank. Something hit me when they were sighing into the headset after being taken out. “Isn’t anybody going to destroy the tank? Seriously?” I was completely mad in the inside thinking, “we have to sacrifice our class so that you can spawn as Assault again?!” I was defiant for once. Standing firm to what I have done a lot in the past and it is time for me to cross train. Surprise, surprise. He spawned as Assault again only to repeat his awful whining.
It has been a while since I rode a tank to annihilate enemies. I was hitting enemies camping on the roof of warehouses and starting to feel good about it when suddenly, my own clan-mate crashed his jet into my armour sending me airborne for a good five seconds and a hundred feet high. Next thing I knew is that my tank had flipped deeming it useless and laughter can be heard in the headset. I was disgusted by such action. When people does that to them, those culprits are labelled ‘retards’ but not on themselves. They can go on having massive kill-streak while they stop others from having one.
Being at the top of the scoreboard is not a crime but spending 99.9% of the time playing the class that you love and expecting others to adapt to your style is. Therefore, I posted a challenge for them to beat my count in terms of repairs and resupply which is way below the average.
Many would say that they do not care about statistics but their in-game actions states otherwise. All I can say is that BATTLEFIELD 3 players are starting to care only their KDr. That is a fact.
